THE SEIÐR/FORNSED FOUNDATION COURSE
February 20 - 23, 2025
This is an intensive "full immersion" course which covers grounding in Norse Cosmology, an introduction to the major deities and inhabitants of other worlds, the runes of the Elder Futhark, galdr and many other foundational concepts for beginners.
Our work includes a High Seat Ceremony and a Hall of the Rune Magicians Ceremony.
ADVANCED SEIÐR/NORSE MODULE #2
THE VITKI OR RUNE MAGICIAN - ADVANCED RUNE STUDIES
We will take our work with the runes to a more advanced level and work with rune staves, bind runes and sigils. We will also look at runic calendars, rune magic and runic codes (encrypted runes).
We will have a brief look at rune rows other than the Elder Futhark (some later rune rows have 9 additional runes) and make a brief foray into exotic topics such as Norse Love Magic and pre-Christian ways of solving crimes.

ADVANCED SEIÐR/NORSE MODULE #3

Old Norse peoples perceived the human soul in a very different way from the contemporary Western view as the soul as a separate entity. They viewed it as more porous and as also having ancestral and collective (kinship) dimensions.
In this module we will learn how to actively work with the Norse Anatomy of Soul: the seven (and possibly even more) parts of soul following the indigenous model of Northern Europe. We will do this by means of placing runes on a soul map.
ADVANCED NORSE MODULE #1
THE NORNS, THE VITKI AND CHANGING THE WEAVE
Not currently scheduled but several people have requested that we run this course again!
In this advanced Norse module we will work with the Norns: Urðr, Skuld and Verðandi, individually and as a collective. We will have a close look at their names (often misunderstood and mistranslated). They are said to decide (literally carve) the fate of all beings (and not just human beings, also animals, land etc.) but how do they do that? A
Do we have any power over their workings? What role does human free will play? Can we "Change the Weave" and alter a person's destiny?
And if so, how is this done? Is it a good idea to do it? What are the consequences?
The Golden Light Healing Retreat Center is located amid 200-acres of prairie, fields and forests in Northeastern Wisconsin. It is run by Amy and David Wilinski:
"We are conveniently located 15 miles north of Green Bay. We offer a spacious, bright meeting room that can accommodate up to 60 people auditorium style, Dining Hall for up to 30 people, Gathering Hall, 3 full baths, tent camping spots, and cabin rooms that can house up to 22 people. We have 6 shared cabin rooms (up to triple occupancy) and 5 private cabin room."
